One day bike tour to Chinese border
It was our pre-plan, tour to Khasa bazzar a Chinese bazzar near Nepali border. The mid term exam was over than six guys on three bikes left Kathmandu at early morning. Although it was monsoon, the day was perfect for the bike tour.
We catch the Araniko highway, crossed Bhaktapur. Banepa town was slowly awakening when we crossed it. Our bike caught the real speed after having breakfast at small tea shop down the Dhulikhel. Indrawoti river was roaring when we crossed the Dolalaghat bridge. After than we reached down the Bhotekoshi bank, now we have to follow this river bank till the end of Nepali land. We stopped on several places for photographs. The highway was on the bank of the Bhotekoshi, we were riding on the opposite of river current.
We stopped at the bungee bridge, 100 Km from Kathmandu. The height of the bridge from the Bhotekoshi river was breathtaking. The only bungee spot of Nepal was closed that day. It would be a great experience of life if you could jump from that bridge.
The road above Barabishe was not good. Landslides had blocked the ways on several places, but we crossed them. As we reached the Liping bazzar, boarder side Nepali bazzar it was crowded by Indians pilgrims. We made the pass to the Chinese land, we were pushing our bikes when crossing the boarder line. Chinese personnel were behaving rude. The way to the Khasa was full of traffics. We stuck on traffic jam. Chinese drivers were rudely behaving. It was right hand side traffic system on Chinese land, little bit uneasy for us. The way was steep, it took about 15 minutes to reach the Khasa. The bazzar were not opened fully. Only some restaurants and shops were opened.
A tibetain local talked with us in Nepali, he was frank. It was not interesting bazzar as expected expect some Chines girls on the street! No one dared to talked with them. After some minutes we started heading down to the Nepali land. We did some shopping at the boarder bazzar and entered to Nepali land.
It was about 4:30 when we left the boarder. The return trip was really fast. The speed was above 80 km per hour. We hardly stopped at four places. It started raining when we left Dolalghat and stopped at Dhulikhel. It was about 8:30 pm when I reached my room. OMG every part of my body is aching!!!
